Tars will be operating a Special Event Station during the 2016 West Side Nut Club Fall Festival from the property of the Simpson United Methodist Church at the corner of 11th Avenue and Illinois.  The call sign will be W9I and is part of Indiana’s year-long bicentennial celebration.

w9i special eventOperations will begin WEDNESDAY OCT 5TH, APPROX 1:00 PM,  JOHN N90L will set up and operation will start.  FROM  1-8PM.

THURSDAY OCT 6TH, OPERATING FROM 11AM-8PM.

FRIDAY OCT 7TH OPERATING FROM 11AM-8PM.

SATURDAY OCT 8TH OPERATING FROM 9AM-8PM.

Our event was held in conjunction with the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival.
Every October the Nut Club organizes and sponsors a mammoth Fall Festival. This is a week-long gala on the west side along Franklin Street with free entertainment, carnival attractions, over 126 food booths, amateur talent competitions and on the last day, a huge parade. This event attracts over 200,000 people to the West Side & is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States.
